GIVING BACK

Committed to ministering in our community by addressing homelessness.

SECOND CHANCES

“TRUservice is TRUreligion.”  This is our motto and why we’re in business. We’re committed to ministering in our community by addressing the issue of homelessness head on. We seek guidance from Veterans’ agencies, LDS social services, Catholic outreach programs, and other organizations to locate those that need a helping hand and are desperately looking for a second chance.  Every year, each of our restaurants will take one deserving individual off our streets by providing housing, gainful employment, and a career path. To further our dream of making a difference in our local communities, we have partnered with the UVU Culinary Program to assist in paying for the schooling required to achieve an AOS degree. Upon graduation, if they so choose, they will be granted greater opportunities and further growth within the TRUreligion family.

Please consider joining us by rounding your check up to the nearest dollar.  100% of your contribution will be used to help provide this individual with an opportunity for a second chance.  No bells, no whistles, just good karma and blessings from heaven. Thank you for your consideration; it will be immediately felt and GREATLY appreciated.  Godspeed to all.

JACOB SELIN

Jacob grew up in Salt Lake City, his father left when he was young and his life felt like it was clouded with darkness and anxiety. He grew up to know only the street life and began getting incarcerated, and consistently using crystal meth. One day while in prison his bishop came to him with a great opportunity, to work for Jim and Debi Leany at Trureligion Pancake and steakhouse.

Salene has since grown to love Jim and Debi, and his position here at Trureligion, He feels his co-workers have been very supportive of him, and they are like family.
