About

TRUservice is TRUreligion

Our Second Chances Charity assists individuals in their RECOVERY from drugs, alcohol, legal issues, financial implosion, and other life challenges. Second Chances is the inspiration behind it all, the reason we wake up in the morning, the reason we work so hard.

Changing people’s lives is not by coincidence but by design. We unitedly stand for a better cause by offering a Second Chance to those that truly need it.

The Leany Clan

In our waiting room, you’ll find photos capturing the three-generation history of our family of restaurateurs. Grandma Glenna, who is seen cooking her famous fried chicken and 28 oz. porterhouse steak, started it all in the 1940’s. She ran The Hill Top House on Tonopah Highway and The Swanky Club on Boulder Highway, both in fabulous Las Vegas!

Glenna’s son, Arvan, and his sweetheart, Donetta, followed Glenna’s lead and had stints with H. Salt Fish and Chips, The Elephant Walk Ice Cream Parlor, and Sambo’s. Arvan and Donetta, through their hard work and dedication, ended their restaurant days in Western Colorado running five truck stops from Durango to Grand Junction.

We are following in the family’s footsteps and welcome you to TRUreligion!

Chef Todd Leonard, C.E.C.

Chef Todd comes to us as a blessing from heaven via the venerated halls (kitchens) of one of America’s top culinary programs – Utah Valley University.

Chef Todd Leonard is the 2019 American Culinary Federation Chef of the Year, representing all of the USA.  He also enjoys three national Dutch oven championships.

Why would the Chef of the Year join TRUreligion? We are purpose-driven!

Chef Todd brings the master's touch to everything he creates!

On that note, please take home UVU's first cookbook, J'Adore (The Love of Cooking), an unprecedented university collaborative effort filled with many of Chef's delicious  recipes that you can do at home.  All proceeds support UVU students.

Art Deco

All the Art Deco furnishings at TRUreligion Pancake and Steakhouse were carefully removed from the iconic Lamb’s Grill on Main Street in Salt Lake City. These furnishings have been lovingly restored to serve Utah for another 100 years. Items include the booths, tables, chairs, mahogany paneling, black glass countertop, bar stools, cigar host station and the original wooden ice box that was used before modern refrigeration. On our walls, you’ll find interesting news articles about Lamb’s past, along with historic photos showing the Art Deco of Lamb’s Grill in the 1930’s.

All of these furnishings are part of Utah’s history. They survived WWI, the Roaring 20’s, the Great Depression, and WWII. To date, they’ve served over 14.5 MILLION guests!
